The next problem was in the cost of the software used on eBay or other online flea market sites. Or uploading other software or manuals foe download points to acquire the software. Basically required the user to pay in time spent either chatting on a virtually dead site. But also locating one that didn't have a virus, malware, ransom ware or some other malicious code, Further several copies that proved to be clean. The internet proved to be a bit of a bastard when locating not only the proper software. The downfall was i had no software to program the radio.
The blessing came in not only the cost of the radio but the fact it had never seen service, So it was a factory fresh radio. Some time ago I had the pleasure in adding an MCS2000 to my Radio Operations.
